Get ready for a unique poker variation: Ultimate Texas Hold’em (UTH) combines strategic skill with thrilling action. At our MERKUR Casinos, up to six participants play against the house and experience the rising excitement with every card. With a bit of luck, you can win up to 500 times your stake!

In brief: Ultimate Texas Hold’em (UTH)

UTH is an exciting poker variation with hole and community cards, in which up to six players at our Casinos play against the house (dealer). In addition, it offers an optional bonus bet such as Trips. Each player and the dealer receive two cards. Using these cards, the players and the dealer combine them with five community cards to form the best possible five-card hand.

The Course of Play

Bets and Bonus Bet

Bets: At the start of the game, all players must place equal bets on the ante and blind betting fields. This must be done before the first card is dealt and is checked by the dealer.

Bonus Bet: Optionally, you can also place the Trips bonus bet. The bonus bet pays out according to a payout table if you achieve three of a kind or a better hand. Thus, the Trips bonus bet offers an extra chance of attractive payouts, regardless of the outcome of the main game.

After all bets have been placed, each participant (players and dealer) receives two hole cards.

First Betting Round (Pre-Flop)

You now have the following options:

  • check (e.g. with a weak hand), or
  • place a bet (3 or 4 times your ante)

The dealer then reveals the first three community cards, known as the flop.

Second Betting Round (Flop)

If you have not yet placed a bet, you now have the following options:

  • continue to check, or
  • place a play bet equal to twice your ante

The dealer then reveals the two remaining community cards, known as the turn and river, together.

Third Betting Round (Turn & River)

If you have not yet placed a bet, you now have the following options:

  • fold, or
  • place a play bet equal to your ante

Attention: checking is no longer possible at this stage!

Showdown

Do you have the best hand? The dealer reveals his two cards and announces his best possible five-card hand.

  • Player wins: Ante and Play bets are paid out 1:1. Blind bets are paid according to the payout table if the player has at least a straight. With a weaker hand, the Blind bet stands (push).
  • Tie: Ante, Play and Blind bets all stand (push).
  • Dealer wins: All bets (Ante, Play, Blind) are collected.

Trips Bonus Bet: Pays out if you have three of a kind or better, regardless of the outcome against the house. For this bet, only your cards count.

Special rule: If the dealer does not have at least a pair, all players receive their Ante bet back. Afterwards, payouts for Blind, Play and Trips are made as described above.
