What is a system bet?

Your own system

Already a pro when it comes to combo bets?

A simple combo bet feels too boring? Want to try something new? Here’s the upgrade for you – the system bet.

In general: with a system bet, you select your system before placing the bet, e.g. 8 out of 10. This means you make a combination of 10 matches but allow yourself two mistakes. In the end, 8 out of 10 picks need to be correct for your bet slip to win.

We’ll explain the system bet using the system 2 out of 3 (2/3):

In this example, you select three football (soccer) matches for your bet slip. You place bets on the following outcomes:

  • Win Bayern Munich at odds of 2.00

  • Win Arsenal at odds of 1.50

  • Win Barcelona at odds of 1.70

2 out of 3 now means: all possible two-combo bets from these three outcomes are placed. In this 2/3 system bet, the possible combinations are:

  • Bet 1: Bayern win (odds 2.00) + Arsenal win (odds 1.50)

  • Bet 2: Bayern win (odds 2.00) + Barcelona win (odds 1.70)

  • Bet 3: Arsenal win (odds 1.50) + Barcelona win (odds 1.70)

A total stake of €30 in this case means you are placing three two-combo bets with a stake of €10 each.

Now let’s assume the following results:

  • Bayern wins.

  • Arsenal loses.

  • Barcelona wins.

Your payout is calculated as follows:
For your correctly predicted combination (Bet 2 above), you receive:
€10 stake × Bayern odds 2.00 × Barcelona odds 1.70 = €34 credited to your betting account.

All clear? Then here comes another special feature – basically an extension of the extension:

System bet with a banker

Let’s assume you start with a 3 out of 4 system bet. The banker bet changes your bet slip so that the original 3/4 system becomes a 2/3 system. From your selected matches, you pick one as the so-called banker match, which is then added to each of your remaining combo bets on the slip.

That means: your banker match must win in order for your bet slip to remain valid. If the banker bet is lost, your entire bet slip is lost.
