Arcade of the month: Essen Frohnhauser Street

This MERKUR Arcade has been an integral part of Essen’s leisure scene for decades and has been welcoming its guests since the 1990s.

Thanks to its central city location, the MERKUR Arcade on Frohnhauser Straße is easily accessible by public transport. If you are arriving by car, you will find two car parks and additional public parking options in the immediate vicinity.

The range of games at the MERKUR Arcade Essen extends across two floors, offering varied entertainment throughout.

On the ground floor, gaming machines take centre stage. Across three concessions, you will find 36 gaming machines from a wide range of providers and generations: discover MERKUR machines such as the ZONIC or ZONIC Curved as well as the M-BOX MAX and Trio, or Novoline and Crown machines. Two Smart wall-mounted machines even add a touch of nostalgia.

At the MERKUR Arcade Essen, we also offer you snacks and drinks at reasonable prices.

Our extensive drinks menu has something for every taste: from soft drinks such as Coca-Cola, Fanta or Sprite, to various juices and Red Bull, as well as coffee specialities and tea.

We are also happy to prepare hot and cold dishes for you, such as pizza, bifteki, chicken nuggets, mini chicken schnitzels, falafel, BiFi, filled rolls, potato wedges, chilli cheese nuggets, instant meals, baked Camembert or pretzel butter knots.
