The winner, a 25-year-old software engineer from Los Angeles, won 39.7 million US dollars in a single spin. This win remains unmatched to this day and cemented Las Vegas’ reputation as the capital of the gambling world.Classic game:
There have also been impressive wins in classic casino games. In 2010, a Texan businessman won 15 million US dollars in an exclusive blackjack tournament at the Bellagio Casino. Pure luck, as in some other cases, probably wasn’t at play here: he was considered an experienced player and used his knowledge of strategy to dominate the competition.

The winner, a Norwegian tourist, could hardly believe his fortune at first and also chose to remain anonymous.Classic games:
A particularly spectacular win took place in Macau, the gambling mecca of Asia. In 2012, a poker player won 12 million US dollars in a high-stakes tournament. The winner, a professional poker player from the USA, later became an ambassador for the tournament and rose to icon status within the poker scene.And what about the MERKUR Casinos?
We recall an especially high jackpot at the end of the 1990s: all four venues in North Rhine-Westphalia at the time contributed to a large jackpot, which eventually rose to 980 thousand Deutsche Marks.
