The Day of Happiness is celebrated every year on 20 March and was first officially introduced in 2012 by the United Nations (UN) to promote and celebrate happiness and well-being worldwide.

The number 7 is considered a lucky number in many cultures, especially in gaming, and is also the favourite number of many people!
In most games, it appears as the jackpot number and, when combined in a row of three sevens, often leads to the highest win. In dice games, too, 7 is the most frequent sum when rolling two dice and symbolises luck and the joy of playing.

The largest casino in the world is not, as most people assume, in Las Vegas, but the Venetian Macao in China. With a total area of 980,000 square metres and around 50,700 square metres of gaming space, it attracts millions of visitors! With an annual turnover of over 36 billion US dollars, it generates more than six times the revenue of Las Vegas.

The happiest people live in Finland!
For eight years in a row, Finland has been ranked the happiest country in the world. Germany currently holds 22nd place. The happiness level of each country is measured by various factors such as life satisfaction, social support, income, safety, and freedom, and is published in the “World Happiness Report”.

The biggest lucky winners come from the USA!
The highest lottery jackpot in history was won in November 2022 in the US Powerball game. A man from California scooped 2.04 billion US dollars!
The biggest casino win also goes to the USA. In March 2003, a 25-year-old engineer from California turned a stake of just 100 US dollars into 39.7 million US dollars on a slot machine at the Excalibur Hotel & Casino .

The first casinos originated in Italy! The world’s very first casino was opened in 1638 in Venice, in the Palazzo Vendramin-Calergi, under the name “Ridotto”. It was the first publicly accessible casino and laid the foundation for state regulation of gaming. This casino is still in operation today.

The four-leaf clover occurs in nature only once in every 10,000 plants and, due to its rarity, is considered one of the strongest symbols of luck in many Western cultures, offering protection against evil. The first leaf of the clover represents faith, the second stands for hope, the third for love, and the fourth for luck.
