The MERKUR Casino in Dortmund was the place to be on the last weekend of September – because from 25 to 27 September 2025, it was time to celebrate in style: 40 years of the casino in Hohensyburg. Under the motto “Stars, Shows and Cash,” our guests experienced a top-class programme featuring celebrities, spectacular shows, and prizes worth more than €140,000 in total.

A weekend full of highlights, great vibes, and unforgettable moments – the big anniversary celebration in Hohensyburg will stay with us for a long time! A big thank-you also goes out to all of you for the amazing atmosphere and the fantastic party!

Stars am MEGA Wochenende

Celebrity alert on the blue carpet

The celebrations kicked off in style on Thursday: stars like Ralf Moeller, Lilly Becker, and Germany’s Next Topmodel winner Barbara Meier attended the red-carpet event and joined the MERKUR team in celebrating the big anniversary. Amidst camera flashes and a feel-good atmosphere, guests enjoyed a dinner show packed with wow moments – and at the Big Casino Gameshow, gaming was even done for a good cause. Olympic champion Britta Steffen cracked the safe and won €4,444, which was donated together with actor Marc Weinmann.

MEGA Wochenende Llambi und Cassy

Friday = Bingo Time with Llambi!

Friday was all about “Bingo with Cassy” – Germany’s biggest bingo show. And suddenly: Joachim Llambi! The Let’s Dance star stepped in as co-host and, with his charming manner, had the audience going wild. Amid cheers, laughter, and chants of “Llambi!”, the evening turned into a real highlight – especially for the lucky winner of the €5,000 grand prize!

MEGA Wochenende Autoalarm

Play Money Rally & Car Alert

Saturday turned things up another notch: during the interactive “Play Money Rally,” guests could test their luck at mini game tables – but the grand finale was the brand-new gameshow “Car Alert.” The main prize? A Mercedes-AMG CLE 53 worth over €120,000! At the decisive moment, a young player actually cracked the correct safe code – and drove away with the dream car. A shower of confetti, cheers, pure emotion – a finale no one will forget anytime soon!

Conclusion: A Weekend for the History Books

More than 7,300 guests celebrated three days full of party vibes, excitement, and glamour. MERKUR Casinos board member David Schnabel was thrilled:
