Behind them, teams like Leipzig and Dortmund are trying to stay within reach to keep even a slim chance of the title alive. Union Berlin vs Leipzig
Union remain deep in trouble after the 1–3 defeat in Wolfsburg, their second league loss in a row. Too vulnerable defensively and too harmless in attack, Baumgart’s team simply cannot find stability.
Leipzig, however, travel in outstanding form: the clear 6–0 win over Frankfurt underlined their enormous quality and efficiency. Diomande and Baumgartner are currently almost unstoppable. Union will fight at home, but Leipzig are stronger in form, style of play and structure.

Frankfurt vs Augsburg
Frankfurt are reeling after the 0–6 collapse in Leipzig and—with 29 goals conceded after 13 matchdays—currently hold the worst defensive record in the league.
Augsburg, meanwhile, celebrated a real breakthrough under interim coach Baum: a 2–0 victory against an in-form Leverkusen side, full of energy and much more compact. The challenge now is to carry that momentum forward and push from the bottom of the table towards midfield.

Mönchengladbach vs Wolfsburg
Gladbach have stabilised after a disastrous start and are now sitting in 10th place. The recent 1–0 win in Mainz once again showed that the team under Polanski has regained structure, balance and confidence.
Wolfsburg remain unpredictable. Although they finally managed a home win (3–1 vs Union), consistency is still lacking.

St. Pauli vs Heidenheim
St. Pauli have shown slight improvement recently. Their cup win over Gladbach brought a much-needed success, and they were surprisingly close to snatching a point against Bayern. Still, the situation remains serious: the late 1–1 in Cologne was lucky and reflects St. Pauli’s difficulties in producing stable performances.
Heidenheim arrive with momentum. Two consecutive wins, both decided late, showing again their typical strengths: compactness, aggressiveness and efficiency.

Hoffenheim vs HSV

Leverkusen have hit a small results crisis after two consecutive league defeats. Against Augsburg, Hjulmand’s team showed unusual errors in their build-up, lacked tempo and precision, and hit the woodwork three times.
Köln arrive full of frustration: despite several big chances to seal their match against St. Pauli, they conceded a late 1–1. The performance was solid, but the lack of efficiency continues to cost points.

Freiburg sit in 9th place, defensively solid but often too harmless going forward. The late mistake in Heidenheim fits the pattern of a team that performs well overall but lacks finishing power in key moments.

Bremen vs Stuttgart
Werder travel from a bitter derby defeat in Hamburg, though they showed promising attacking moments and stayed competitive until the end. Overall, their season has been solid, especially at home.
Stuttgart are in a mini-crisis after the 0–5 in Munich and have now gone three league matches without a win. Still, they remain a well-structured, technically strong side with plenty of offensive talent—Undav & Co. can always score.

For both teams, this match is crucial. Frankfurt’s 0–6 disaster in Leipzig has thrown the club into a deep sporting crisis. The team looks insecure, defensively unstable and offensively without ideas—a dangerous mix that threatens their season objectives far earlier than expected.
Coach Dino Toppmöller stresses the need to “get back to basics”—compactness, duels, structure. But right now, Frankfurt rarely manage to deliver these consistently. Key players are out of form or injured, and tactical adjustments have brought no real stability.
Augsburg, on the other hand, travel with renewed confidence after their impressive 2–0 against Leverkusen. Under Baum, they looked brave, compact and surprisingly mature. This mixture could help them move away from the bottom of the table.
Prediction: The pressure is clearly on Frankfurt. Their fans expect a response after the Leipzig humiliation. But if the defensive instability continues, Augsburg could become the next stumbling block. A draw seems likely.
Freiburg enter the match in decent form. The late 1–2 defeat in Heidenheim was frustrating, but overall the team have played a solid season: five wins, two draws and three losses in their last ten competitive matches. They are far from a crisis club.

After two unexpectedly tough matches against Union Berlin and St. Pauli, Bayern showed their true strength again in Stuttgart. The 5–0 was a clear statement: confident, balanced and dominant, with Harry Kane starring, Olise shining and the entire team performing cohesively.
Mainz, however, find themselves in an increasingly desperate situation: just 6 points from 13 matches and still bottom of the table. Despite the coaching change, no real improvement is visible. Too many defensive errors, too little offensive threat. The 0–1 against Gladbach fit the overall pattern.
Prediction: Bayern are overwhelming favourites. With their regained stability and immense individual quality, almost everything points to a Bayern win. Mainz will try to stay compact and intense, but realistically they face an almost impossible task.
