We’re back in the day-to-day league action – and how! The season is already heating up so much in its opening phase that we could do with an ice bath in between. And Friday night brings the next big clash: HSV vs. St. Pauli!
But it’s not just in the 2nd Bundesliga – the Premier League is also serving up plenty of action. Betting preview, alé! ⚽
A stiff breeze up north! League leaders Hannover 96 travel to Bundesliga relegated side Holstein Kiel with another three points in sight.
Things didn’t really click for Kiel at the start. After two opening defeats (1–2 vs. Paderborn, 0–1 vs. Arminia), there was finally a glimmer of hope: a 2–0 win over Greuther Fürth! Coach Rapp’s team is desperate to build on that and get back on the right course.
Hannover, on the other hand, have been flawless so far, taking 9 out of 9 points and beating Magdeburg, Düsseldorf, and Kaiserslautern along the way. Is hope beginning to stir for something truly big?
Hot take: In the end, it’ll finish in a draw!
A clash of giants in England’s top flight! League leaders Arsenal travel to Anfield Road to take on defending champions Liverpool.
If it’s goals you’re after, Liverpool delivers. A total of 11 goals in their first two matches, with seven of them scored by the Reds. And one name stands out: Hugo Ekitiké! The new signing from Eintracht Frankfurt has made a flying start, netting twice in his first two appearances and playing a key role in Liverpool’s opening six points.
For the Gunners, it’s all about defensive solidity. Two games, zero goals conceded – and six scored. Top of the table! And here too, a new face has already made its mark. Viktor Gyökeres, the Swedish international, struck twice in the 5–0 win over Leeds.
Who will come out on top in this weekend’s battle of the goal-getters?
Hot take: Liverpool hand Arsenal their first dropped points – and take the win!
St. Pauli win at the Volksparkstadion and claim the city crown!
